Community Foundation and GIFT are pleased to welcome the Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund

The GIFT Foundation (Geneseo Is For Tomorrow), an affiliate of the Quad Cities Community Foundation, is proud to welcome the Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund as one of its newest endowments.

The Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund was established to honor the legacy and life of Seth Ernst, son of David and Betty Ernst. As a soccer player since age 5, Seth developed a love of the game early on in his life and he would be proud to know that the Geneseo soccer community is growing stronger every year. The fund will annually award scholarships to graduating seniors who were members of the Geneseo High School soccer team for a minimum of three years, including their senior year.

A portion of the proceeds from the Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Slam, an indoor tournament cooperatively sponsored by the Geneseo High School Soccer Boosters and the Geneseo Soccer Club, support this scholarship. Unlike most tournaments, the largest trophies are not awarded to the first place teams, but rather to those who demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship.

Donations to the Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund can be made payable to the Community Foundation and sent to the address below. Please indicate on the memo line of the check that the gift is for the Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund.
