It is with gratitude for the past and excitement for her future that we congratulate Barbara Melbourne, our Vice President of Development, on her new role as Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. While we are sad to see her go, we are happy for her as she sets out on this new professional adventure.

With her move to Palmer, Barb carries with her more than three decades of experience, including more than 21 years of planned and major gift experience in higher education and social services, including previous work at Augustana College, UCLA and Penn State University, before joining our staff in 2006. For the past 10 years, she has developed special connections with people across our community who have entrusted the Community Foundation with their legacies.

Her passion for generosity has touched every aspect of our work. Since coming to the Community Foundation, more than $85 million has come to the foundation from individual donors, which is a testament to her work and the generosity of the community and region.

The Community Foundation will host a reception to thank Barb for her decade of work, and wish her well as she begins this new leadership role with Palmer.

Join our staff, board of directors and friends of the Community Foundation on November 17 from 5 to 7pm at our offices at 852 Middle Road in Bettendorf.
