Community Foundation’s new name, identity aligns with Q2030
The public charity formerly known as the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend launched a new brand this month by changing its name to the Quad Cities Community Foundation.
The new identity reflects the 55-year-old organization’s commitment to bettering the region through a variety of gifts, funds, grants and scholarships.
Following the announcement, Kent Pilcher, second vice chair of the board of directors at the Community Foundation, shared his perspective in a letter to the editor titled, “A foundation empowered by community.”
Published in the Quad-City Times and the Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus, the letter called for the community’s help in championing generosity.
