Seminar: Estate planning for each stage of life
Part of the Community Foundation’s Learning Series
Join us at the Quad Cities Community Foundation on Thursday, September 21, at 5:00 p.m. for a special presentation offered at no cost to you. Johni Hays, JD, will present Estate Planning for Each Stage of Life. Johni is the executive vice president of Thompson & Associates and is in demand as a national speaker on estate and charitable planning, probate, living wills, annuities, life insurance, retirement planning, and IRAs, as well as income, estate, and gift taxation.
The presentation will focus on what you must include in your estate plan and how those plans differ depending on your stage of life; for example, young parents need different plans than people in their retirement years. Johni will also explain what assets are included in an estate and the four critical legal documents needed for a comprehensive estate plan. She’ll answer the most commonly asked questions such as:
Do I need a trust?
Will my heirs pay taxes on their inheritance?
How will my loved one access my passwords?
