Your guide to year end giving
As you consider your year-end giving, think about the profound impact you can have on your community. Your generosity has the power to create lasting change, and a gift in honor of a friend or loved one is a beautiful way to share that impact. With your support, you can help bring hope and opportunity to those who need it most. Every gift you make is personal, meaningful, and always the perfect fit.
With 2025 right around the corner, we’re here to help with a few handy reminders.
The Quad Cities Community Foundation Giving Catalog is open, offering you the opportunity to unite with other donors to create a collective impact in your community. Your gift will be joined with others and granted to the nonprofit of your choice. Explore the Giving Catalog.
Endowment Tax Credits. 2024 Endow Iowa tax credits have now been exhausted; qualified donors for the remainder of the year will be contacted to submit a 2025 Endowment Tax Credit after January 1. Illinois Taxpayers interested in making an Illinois Gives-eligible gift in 2025 are encouraged to act early and begin by setting up a personal MyTax Illinois account with the state here: MyTax Illinois. This process requires requesting a printed letter from the State, so we recommend beginning the process now.
Consider a gift to a Community Impact Fund, join with others in supporting needs across the region or make a gift to the Friends of the Foundation Endowment Fund to support the Community Foundation’s services to your community! Find a fund here. Or, if you would like to explore other options to share your generosity this year, please contact us.
Donor-advised fundholders who wish to make a grant before year-end, please submit your recommendation by Friday, December 8, so it is fulfilled by December 31. After this date, we will make every effort to quickly issue grant recommendations, but we cannot guarantee they will reach your recipients before year-end. You can recommend a grant from MyFund. Be sure to check out the Giving Catalog for unique granting opportunities! For support making a grant recommendation, contact Steve Gottcent at (563) 326-2840 or stevegottcent@QCCommunityFoundation.org.
