New year brings promotions and retirements to Community Foundation team

As the Quad Cities Community Foundation begins 2025, the organization is excited to announce several staff promotions that were effective January 1.

“These transitions highlight the strength of the Community Foundation team,” said Sue Hafkemeyer, the Community Foundation’s president and CEO. “Our staff continues to grow and excel to best serve donors and the community with dedication and professionalism.”

Maddi Haan has been promoted to the position of accounting manager, where she will continue to handle bank and investment reconciliation, track fund balances, and support the management of endowed funds. Haan joined the Community Foundation in 2022.

Melanie Jones has been promoted to donor services manager. Jones joined the Community Foundation in 2015. She works closely with staff to engage donors and future donors in the act of charitable giving. Melanie also supports organizational communication to share the stories of donor impact with the community.

Kaleigh Trammell has been promoted to director of grantmaking and community initiatives. Since 2022, Trammell has worked with nonprofit organizations and stewarded their applications for competitive grants, mentored young philanthropists through Teens for Tomorrow, and stewarded grantmaking for regional affiliates.

The Community Foundation is actively seeking a candidate for Trammell’s most recent position, grantmaking specialist.

The Community Foundation also celebrates the contributions of Jenny Molyneaux and Luann Polissaint, who are retiring on January 15 and February 3, respectively.

Molyneaux joined the Community Foundation as a volunteer in 2016 and was hired as an employee in 2017. As project manager, she used her expertise in database marketing to skillfully guide countless projects, bring together teams to find effective solutions, and generate ideas to create an impact in the community. Her dedication and hard work have left a lasting impact on the Community Foundation.

Polissaint began her role as administrative assistant in 2020. With her blazing organizational skills and welcoming personality, she has been the welcoming face and steady hand that ensured everything ran smoothly, supporting the Community Foundation mission and fostering a positive environment for staff and visitors alike.
