In partnership with the staff and board, Sue leads the Quad Cities Community Foundation's efforts to transform the region through the generosity of donors. Joining the Community Foundation in June 2022, Sue has enjoyed a diverse and storied career in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and community development. She spent five years as president of the MercyOne Dubuque Foundation, nine years as director of communication and marketing at Loras College, and 14 years as director of the Dubuque Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, where she was a key collaborator in the $188 million America's River riverfront revitalization. She has served numerous nonprofits as a volunteer, including as board chair of United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States. She is a graduate of Loras College.

Sue and her husband, John, recently moved to the Quad Cities from Dubuque, where she frequently returns to visit her children, Lauren and Nick. In her free time, Sue enjoys getting out to the stable to ride her horse and experiencing the natural beauty of the region with her family.
