General Scholarship Information

GIFT's family of scholarship funds provide scholarship that are available to a wide range of students. Qualifications and requirements vary based upon the wishes and parameters established by the donors.

Students may apply for a scholarship by completing the general scholarship application form. This form is used for most of our scholarships with the exception of nursing scholarships.

Donald and Ireta Garner established a GIFT fund in the mid 1980's to help local young people attend nursing schools. Students who are pursuing an education in Nursing may apply for a Garner scholarship by completing the nursing scholarship application form.

Interested in establishing a scholarship fund?

A scholarship fund with the GIFT allows you to support scholarship awards in your name or in the name of a loved one. You can specify a scholarship for recipients graduating from a school of your choice, for those attending a school of your choice, or both. You can specify an award for a specific field of study, a characteristic such as a leadership trait, achievement or financial need. Scholarships can be for any level of education you specify.

Our Affiliate Advisory Board, along with the staff of our host foundation, the Quad Cities Community Foundation can help you design a scholarship fund that will fulfill your unique desires and assist students for all future generations.
