Brissman Foundation announces spring grant cycle
The Grant W. Brissman and Virginia M. Brissman Foundation, established in 2013, is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds to benefit the Village of Milan and its residents.
The Brissman Foundation was created by the estate of Grant and Virginia Brissman. As long-term residents of Milan, Illinois, the Brissmans wanted to make sure their legacy continued to benefit their chosen home long after they passed away. The mission of this $2.8 million foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Village of Milan, Illinois by funding work to enhance youth development, foster community development, support cultural activities, and invest in ways to relieve the suffering of underprivileged people.
The Brissman Foundation accepts grant applications twice each year. Applications for the spring round of grants will be accepted beginning February 15, 2014 from nonprofit organizations located in Milan. Online grant applications are available through the Foundation’s website at www.brissmanfoundation.org and are due by April 15. Nonprofit organizations located within and serving residents of the Village of Milan, Illinois, are eligible to apply. Organizations located outside of Milan may be considered if they provide significant services benefitting the Village of Milan and its residents.
